Is it possible to rename the Home directory in Report Services? If you mean the default "Reports" and "ReportServer" directories, I think you
can.
First of all, you can choose to change these names during installation.
If the product is already installed, you could create a new virtual
directory in IIS, name it the way you want it, and have it point at the
ReportServer or ReportManager folder (depending on whether you want to rename
the report server or Report Manager application).
You also need to set properties appropriately for the applications to work.
For Report Manager it is important to set the default content page and
execute permissions. For Report Server, you need to configure the
application. But you can copy all these settings from the original virtual
directories.

When you start the manager e.g.: http://servername/reports/ you get the
default page which says "Home" in top left corner. That is the name I would
like to change.

Normally you can't. Microsoft is not releasing the source code for the
application.
View the thread on "Report Manager source code/customization".
The guys who wrote "Hithchiker's guide to SQL Server 2000 Reporting
Services" figured out a way to customize the screens, though. Cfr.
http://www.sqlreportingservices.net. I don't know if that includes the "Home"
text you are referring too. I don't have the book yet :-) I have seen a
screen of their report manager, though, and it included a custom banner on
the home page with the name of their compay.
