Rename attributes for each instance of a role-playing dimension

Chris Webb submitted this request on the Connect site, please see details on this page. Someone from Microsoft has replied, saying they will consider it for the "next release" (as at Aug 2006).

Does anyone know if this has been included in the Katmai (2008) beta releases so far? Or is it likely to before RTM?

No, this feature will not be in Analysis Services 2008. We are still tracking it for possible inclusion in the next major relase after SQL Server 2008.|||

Shame... it might seem like a minor change, but I've lost count of the number of times I've started off using role-playing dimensions and then had to go back and change to separate but practically identical dimensions just because of this...

Removing Page breaks in HTML

Hi,
I've created a report which displays in the Report Viewer as several pages which the user must page through to see all data rather than scrolling down the browser. Can the Page Breaks be removed altogether? I've used the MHTML render format but it's still got the page header and footer repeated multiple times.

I have a report like this as well, and it would be nice if the user could scroll down to compare data on the web page, but if they decide to export to PDF to save the report or print it, it would be nice if page breaks would still work.
Setting the page length to some large value will screw up the page breaks in the other formats.
This should be an option. On the report properties "Render page breaks in HTML?" True/False.

different renderers.
You can, however, pass the page length to the PDF renderer as a URL
parameter to override the long page length default.

The maximum report page length is 4064 mm in the Report PageSize Height. Is
that the page length you mean?

Removing Page Break Between SubReports

Hi All,

I have a main report that has multiple subreports. When running the report, I see that for each subreport, a page break is inserted. Is there a way to remove the page break so that the report displays continuously down the page?

Right, theres half a dozen places where you can define a page break to occur, before/after tables/lists etc, so assuming you've hunted all those down, I've found that it can come down to page size and alignment of the subreports. You basically have to align the left pos of the subreports and you have to make sure that the report controls are never wider than the page width (minus margins). Also bear in mind that the sub reports inherit properties from the main report. Sometimes you just have to take out individual sub reports until you find the one causing the problem.
